Co-op Academy Swinton Open Afternoon

Yesterday, Year 5 had an open afternoon afternoon at Co-op Academy Swinton.

The session involved a tour of the academy and two taster lessons.   They all took part in a dance lesson, which was taught by a professional dancer.  Even the most reluctant dancers amongst Year 5 participated and showed great enthusiam and willingness.   To learn a dance routine in a short space of time was very impressive.

The second session was Manchester United Football club Foundation, based at the academy.  The focus was on leadership and teamwork.  The foundation will be running a number of face to face sessions at Wardley in the near future focussing on mental and physical wellbeing, and on business and enterprise.  

Each child was a credit to the school and their behaviour was impecable throughout the afternoon.  Every member of staff sung their praises – well done Year 5.
