Hallé for Youth @ The Bridgewater Hall

This week, our Year 5 and Year 6 children visited The Bridgewater Hall, one of the country’s finest concert halls, for The Hallé For Youth concert, a live music experience for young people.
Over 2000 children from schools across Manchester attended the event, which was a perfect introduction to the exciting sounds of a large symphony orchestra. With a nod to the love of reading, it coincided with World Book Day. The music was inspired by texts we know, and some from new stories we have not yet encountered.
The visit may have inspired a number of children to read a greater variety of texts, take up an instrument or some may now have aspirations to become a musician.
The children represented Wardley superbly, and they were a real credit to the school.
