Mental Health Awareness Week
To support and promote our children's well-being at Wardley, we have taken part in Mental Health Awareness Week and recognised the importance of taking care of our mental happiness. To celebrate this, the children and staff wore colourful socks, which looked fabulous - as you can see from the pictures!
The children have also taken part in discussions and fun activities which highlighted how best to take care of ourselves and what to do when we are feeling certain emotions. Their homework for this weekend is to go outside and be active by exercising and having some fun with family and friends!
At the moment, to further promote good mental health within our school, I am working with the Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage One and Year 3. Together, we are developing our knowledge and awareness of the ways in which our brain works, strategies to help us with our concentration, choices and being the best we can be. We are also learning about the importance of living in the present moment and recognising and dealing with our many emotions. I am really looking forward to working with the rest of the school throughout the year.
Have a lovely weekend and remember to take care of your mind and body.
Love Ms Hoque
