Nursery 7.5.2020
Date: 7th May 2020 @ 9:01am
Good morning boys and girls,
I hope that you’re all okay!
I was in school yesterday and so couldn’t post a blog. In school, we had a busy day of maths, making board games and playing in the sunshine. It was lovely speaking to some of you on the phone yesterday and hearing what you have been up to over the last few weeks. If I still haven’t got round to you, I will try and get through the rest of the register next time I am in school.
Today, I would like you to have a go at the following activities:
Phonics
- Go through your sound all the way up to this week’s sound, z. Oxford Owl have a made a slideshow showing our sounds that you could play and see how many you can name. It’s here:
https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/api/interactives/26333.html
Try number 5 as this has all the sounds we have learnt up to now.
- I have also attached a fun matching game to the homework section where there are words on one side of the sheet and pictures on the other side. Can you read the words and draw a line to match them to the picture?
- There is a harder version too, where there are sentences on one side and pictures on the other. Can you read the sentences and match them to the correct pictures? (Don’t worry if this is too difficult – it’s called a challenge for a reason!)
Maths
- Counting forwards to 20 to warm up your maths brains.
- Given the numbers 1-20, can you read them and place them in the correct order?
- Once you have all your numbers in the right order, close your eyes whist Mummy or Daddy hides one of them. Can you work out which number is missing?
Have a great day children 😊
