Worship Leaders - Prayer Stations
Our Year 6 Worship Leaders welcomed children from Year 2 - Year 5 to their prayer stations on Monday afternoon.
Each child was given the opportunity to visit at least two of the stations within their allocated time slot.
As gentle music played, the children were invitied to reflect and pray about those who are important to them and to take some time to appreciate the beauty that God has created for us.
There were so many positive comments made by the children as they left and some truly reflective comments were written down as they spent time at a station.
In response to a reflection taken from John 4: 7 - 8
'Dear friends, let us love each other because love is from God and everyone who is born from God and knows God. The person who does not love, does not know God because God is love.'
Lily wrote, 'When I think about God's love, I think about my family and friends and the love we all have for each other. I also think about teachers because they help me to learn and take care of me.I am thankful to God for all these precious people in my life.'
When looking at some mindfulness image cards, the children were asked to consider the followong saying from the Bible, Corinthians 5:17
'Anyone who is in Christ is a new creation: everything old has passed away. Everything has become new.'
Jack wrote, 'I chose the image with the beautiful blue flowers on it. They remind me of exploring the countryside with my mum and reminded me of the beauty on this earth which God has created for us.'
The year 6 Worship Leads hope to host another prayer station session next half term which our younger children will be invited to attend.
