Reception January 2022 - People Who Help Us

We have had lots of fun learning about the people who help us in our community over the last few weeks.

Last week, the children wanted to learn about the vehicles they drive so we decided to work together to build a huge fire engine. We looked at pictures and books showing real fire engines to find out what they looked like. We then made sure that our fire engine had blue flashing lights, headlights, wheels, ladders, a steering wheel and a hosepipe. We got to play with it afterwards and pretended to be firefighters.

We enjoyed this so much that we then had a go at creating our own vehicles! Some of us made police cars, some of us made ambulances and some of us made a fire engine.
