School Council Autumn 2022

Date: 16th Sep 2022 @ 12:36pm

Our first School Councillors of the academic year became active this week when they spoke to each class in the school about courageous advocacy and how we can be a voice about particular issues.

After discussing and listening to the reponses of each pupil, they came together to have a meeting with the Head and Deputy Head Teacher to finalise an issue that we can focus upon this term.

Millie from Y6 then made an announcement in our Collective Worship to explain that a common theme running through all of the discussions was, 'litter in our community'.

The School Council will meet again next week with each class to generate ideas about how we can be proactive with solving this issue. A newsletter from the counsillors will be distributed next week.

All of our councillors were awarded their badges in a special celebration assesmbly this week.

We are confident that they will all do a magnificent job as they have already made such a wonderful start. Well done to all members of our new School Council.
