12.03.21 COLLECTIVE WORSHIP: ASK SEEK KNOCK.
In our collective worship this week we thought about a Bible quote from Luke: ‘Ask and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.’ As part of their discussion on this, the children had to think about what doors they were looking forward to seeing open. They had some fantastic ideas:
‘I am looking forward to seeing the door to my grandma and grandpa’s house open because I love spending time with them and giving them hugs.’ Danielle Y2.
‘I am looking forward to opening the door to seeing my friends and family because I have not seen them for a long time. I am also excited about my dancing being open.’ Millie S Y3.
‘I am looking forward to my friends' doors being open so I can play with them. I am also looking forward to the airport doors being open so I can go away on holiday.’ Callum Y4.
‘I have been looking forward to my classroom door being open so i can see my friends again and focus on my education.’ Jase Y5.
‘I am looking forward to the door of freedom being opened because I cannot wait to go fishing with my dad. Also I really want to go on holiday and be able to go out for a nice day.’ Harley Y6.
In addition, the children have also been thinking about family and what this means to them. They had to look at what they could do to show their appreciation of their family and we had lots of nice feedback from them about how they had done to do this. Some had written notes to family members whilst others had been doing all sorts of jobs around the house to help out.
