Good morning Year 4. I hope you are all having a great week.
Well done to all the children who completed their Mathletics tasks yesterday. If you didn't score more than 70%, I would like you to have another go and see if you can improve on your score. Don't forget to be practising your times tables on Times Tables Rockstars and your spellings please.
I have seen on the news that one of my idols, Sir David Attenborough, is going to be doing geography lessons for children! I think it is an absolutely brilliant idea and I will be tuning in too. They will be being aired on BBC Iplayer and I will let you know the details when I know more.
As David Attenborough cares so much about the environment, I thought our creative task for the next few days could be to design a bug hotel. I want you to think about where bugs live and what kind of materials you might need. I did this in school with some of the children and they designed and created bug hotels with swimming pools and gardens, very creative! I want you to particularly focus on how you would get bees to visit your bug hotel. Bees are very important to our environment and pollinating our plants. I look forward to looking at them!
I will be looking at the writing task today and giving you some comments based on them. If you haven't managed to do this, you can have a go today.
Have a brilliant day Year 4.
Miss Hay
