World Book Day 2025

We celebrated World Book Day 2025 in style here at Wardley CE Primary School with the children and staff really promoting their love for reading.

It was lovely to see everyone in their 'reading clothes' - we had children in costunes, we had children in their tracksuits and we even had child (and staff) in their pajamas! Everyone looked comfortable and happy and most importantly, were ready to read!

Children were invited to design a poster anout their love for reading and we had lots of fantastic entries. It was almost impossible to choose a winner from each class but we managed it in the end.

The winners were as follows:

Y1 - Alfie

Y2 - Oscar

Y3 - Jeevan

Y4 - Lucy

Y5 - Amelia

Y6 - Matteo

Their beautiful designs have been framed and displayed in our school reading area for all to see.

Each child was also awarded a special certificate and a new book of their choice.
