Good morning Year 6, it is nice that the sun is shining again today. It got really cold over the last couple of days...I had to get my fluffy socks out!
I have now managed to ring around all of you and have spoken to some of you in person and if not, your parents. It is so nice to hear that you're all keeping well and safe, as that is what really matters. Hopefully, we may meet up again very soon (in much smaller groups of course) but still, it will be lovely to see you all again.
Today, I am going to look at the Florence Nightingale writing task that I have set for you in the homework folder with Thomas and George. I think we will all find it very interesting.
Today I would like you to get on with the following tasks when you can:
1. Mathletics and Spellodrome
2. 5 A Day
3. BBC Bitesize - take a look at their Y6 Maths and English pages. There's loads on there to help you revise the many areas of the Y6 curriculum. There's games too, but I prefer the quizzes.
4. Writing Task - Florence Nightingale - in the Homework folder
5. Craft Task - South America - in the Homework Folder
6. VE Day diary recount - in the Homeowork Folder
7. Discussion - there is a new discussion posted in the Discussion Folder
8. READ - even if it's only for 20 minutes. I ordered my 2 a history magazine so I'm going to set them off reading that today :)
Thank you, as always, to those of you who have uploaded comments and work...keep them coming. I know that many of you are keeping your work safe and sound in the book that I gave you before we finished, which is great.
Have a wonderful Wednesday...it's latte time for me before I start on my million emails!
Take care and be safe
