A very good morning Y6 - I hope that you all had a lovely weekend and have been able to get plenty of fresh air.
Today is George's birthday! We've just had some party songs playing and guess what came on? Happeeeeeee! It made me laugh and I thought about your beautiful singing - hahahaha!!!
Mr Foster has sent me a screen shot of your Mathletics activities. Well done to those of you who have been busy completing them daily. Lots of 100% too. That's what I like to see. I will monitor your activity each week to see who I need to chase up!
Today your Spelladrome and Time Tables Rock Stars tasks will be set for the week. Make sure that you get on with those too please.
In your writing books today, I would like you to complete 2 things:
1. Write a persuasive letter to the government, asking them to help save the Amazon Rainforest. Think about what our country can do help save the rainforest. If you're not sure, google 'what can our government do to help save the Amazon Rainforest?' and it comes up with all sorts of ideas. Remember that this would be a formal piece; think about your audience.
2. Get creative - design a poster 'Save the Rainforest'. Make it colourful if you have colours at home. Again, if you google this, there are lots of ideas to help you get started.
I really look forward to seeing some of your work as I know that many of you will have created some fantastic pieces.
Enjoy your day....I've got a birthday cake to bake! Tom and George's first lesson of the day - measuring skills :)
Lots of love, Mrs W xxxx
