Y6 Crucial Crew

Date: 18th Mar 2025 @ 5:11pm

Our wonderful Year 6 class visited the Territorial Army base in Eccles today to participate in Crucial Crew – a series of workshops all about personal safety.

They visited a number rooms where they were greeted by members of the Police, Railway Police, Metro staff, Youth Justice Service and the bank.

They learned about the dangers of the railways and why they should never play about on the lines or near electricity.

They learned how to spot scam callers and messages and what to do if they receive one.

They learned how to use public transports and to apply for an I-go card once they turn eleven and they learned about knife crime and other hazardous items.

It was an extremely informative experience and one that made the children think about themselves and others.

We will design posters to enter the Crucial Crew competition where one of us could win a £50 voucher…wish us luck!
