Year 2 Are Amazing!

Year 2 have had an excellent start to the school Year!  They have all settled in well and come into class beautifully each day.  They are so keen and eager to learn and extremely happy to be in school.  I could not have wished for a better start to the Autumn Term.  I am so excited for the year ahead!

In art we have been reading 'Katie and the Dinosaur' and have drawn some fabulous dinosaur eggs.  We have also learned about Picasso and have drawn our faces in the style of the artist.

We ave been using timelines and finding out about the 'First Flights' in History - including the Wright Brothers and John Alcock and Arthur Whitten Brown.  We have loved finding out about early aviation.

In R.E. we have been finding out about traditions, artefacts and beliefs in Judaism.

Our science topic is all about keeping healthy with the right exercise and about eating the right amounts of different foods.

We are looking forward to the exciting times ahead and all the fun things we will do.
