Year 2 Egyptian Escape Room Adventure!

Date: 1st Jul 2021 @ 4:01pm

What a marvellous day we have had today!  The children deserved a lovely day after all the hard work they have put in this year and their reward - the escape room - was definitely worth it!

We were following in the footsteps of the perished Egyptian explorer Josh Gates.  We were trapped in an ancient tomb trying to find the Golden Cobra to ensure Netous' spirit was not released.  In the first room, we solved puzzles and found clues to make 4 digit numbers to open the padlocked chest.  Once open, this gave us the code to the next room where we had more puzzles to solve involving treasure and hieroglyphics.  In the end, both sets of intrepid explorers managed to open the sarcophagus and retrieve the Golden Cobra, ensuring our safety for the next 1000 years! We all escaped! Phew! What a relief!

We have also had a fun day working out hieroglyphic codes and writing some of our own.  To top it all off, we enjoyed time outside together with our delicious picnics.  What a busy and exciting day we have had!

I hope you enjoy the photos of our marvellous day!  More pictures to follow tomorrow!
