Year 6 - Gang For Life Workshop

Year 6 were visited by the Prevent 2 Protect team today where they participated in a physical workshop as well as learning about gang culture.

During the physical workshop, the pupils worked up a hard sweat as they completed boxing, climbing, jumping and weight activities. Although there were lots of red faces, they all clearly had a great time!

Afterwards, the class were spoken to by Jason, who is an ex-gang member. He told them how easy it is to fall in with the wrong crowd and how they can easily be lulled into a false sense of security by gang leaders. 

The children had lots of opportunities to ask questions and learned lots from the workshop.
