Year 6 Residential 2024

Our Year 6 pupils visited The Anderton Centre in Rivington for their end of year residential trip. They walked for miles whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery, climbing trees, skimming stones and experiencing lots of fresh air.
They explored the ruins of an old castle where they also enjoyed their packed lunch before heading back to the centre for an afternoon of tree climbing, climbing walls and low rope activities.
Then it was time to head to the bedrooms to unpack and make their own beds - this proved interesting!
After dinner, they headed out in to the woods for bush activities and nature art. They came up with some wonderful creations!
After a few hours of sleep, it was time to head down to the reservoir where they rowed in kayaks across to the other side before being allowed to jump in to the water from the end of they jetty.
It is safe to say that the children had a fun-packed couple of days and have hopefully made some memories that will last a life-time.
