Welcome back Year 5.
Welcome back! I hope you have had a well-deserved break, and that you are refreshed and ready for the challenges of Autumn Term 2 in Year 5.
I was blown away with the start you all made and I can’t wait to see what you achieve and what you accomplish for the remainder of the year! We have so much to look forward to this half term. Have a look at the homework project and our curriculum newsletter for more information on what we will cover.
Our History unit will see us continuing with our study of Ancient Greece, Greek life, their achievements and their influences on the western world.
In Geography, we will continue to look at biomes and how they change across the world.
We will look at Animals, including humans in science. We will be working scientifically to seperate materials.
Our main religion in RE this half term is Islam and we will be answering the unit question, 'What does it mean to be a Muslim in Britain today?'
Returning to school after a break can be stressful for some. We have our well-being day on our first day back to ease you in. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, there are lots of people you can speak to.
