Welcome back! I hope you have had a great Easter break, and that you are refreshed and ready for the challenges of the new term in Year 5. Can you believe we only have one term left together before you become our senior pupils?
We have so much to look forward to this half term. Have a look at the homework project and our curriculum newsletter for more information on what we will cover.
Our History unit will see us continue to compare the Ancient Maya civilisation with what was happening in Britain at that time.
In Geography, we will study Ordnance Survey maps, contour lines and what land looks like in our local area. This will coincide with a visit to Media City to look at how the land is used now compare to when it was one of the busiest ports in England.
In science, we will look at Earth in space including all the forces at play.
Returning to school after a break can be stressful for some. We have our well-being day on our first day back to ease you in. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, there are lots of people you can speak to.
School life continues to evolve and we look forward to supporting Mrs Walker, who perhaps has to face the biggest change of us all, now that she has taken on the role of acting headteacher.
